Ready-mixed concrete used for broad range of applications.
What are Standardised Prescribed Mixes?
A Standardised Prescribed Mix (ST) has set cement contents as defined in BS 8500-2 but with no guaranteed design strength. It consists of cement, water, stone and graded sand. This type of concrete mix is used in a broad range of applications such as kerb backing, slab work etc.
Types of Standardised Prescribed Mixes:
ST1 – the driest of our ST mixes
- The consistency of the mix is the strongest of the ST mixes we offer
- Used when strength is a main factor in your application
ST2 – one the driest of our ST mixes
- Similar to a GEN1 mix
- Used when strength is a main factor in your application
ST3 – the middle of the strength scale of our ST mixes
- The consistency of the mix is dry yet still allows fluidity
- Great for both strength and mild fluidity
ST4 – one of the wettest of our ST mixes
- Fluid mix consistency
- Slightly reduced strength but still retaining a set cement content
- Used when fluidity is the main factor in your application
ST5 – the wettest of our ST mixes
