There is always a risk with regards to health & safety when handling concrete. To ensure the safety of the people involved, no matter the size or location of the job, we strongly recommend you take the time to read our concrete Health & Safety datasheet and the information on our guide to Handling Concrete Safely, including our Health & Safety Video.
For truck dimensions, please visit our truck dimensions page. This will help you to decide whether our vehicle will safely fit onto your site. If the truck appears too big for your job, don't worry, there are other options for offloading your concrete, such as via a concrete pump, which we can discuss with you.
We do not accept returns due to the perishable nature of the concrete products (concrete is not reusable). If you do find you have too much concrete, you would be subject to a charge for the disposal of the remaining concrete (this is in addition to the original cost of the concrete, charges will be detailed on your quote / confirmation order). This is why it is so important that you are accurate when measuring your area and calculating the concrete you require. Our concrete calculator will be able to assist you in ordering the correct amount of concrete you require.
Exposure to wet concrete can result in skin irritation or even first, second- or third-degree chemical burns. It is important to always wear full PPE. If your skin comes into contact with wet concrete wash with water immediately and seek medical advice. Read our H&S guidance for further support.
Wearing the right clothing to handle concrete is highly important and essential for your safety. You may be refused on site without the correct PPE with you. Minimum levels of correct PPE should be worn by everyone involved in the laying of the concrete delivery.
MINIMUM PPE:
All should be worn to prevent any splashes getting on to the skin, face or eyes.
DO NOT WEAR SHORTS, SHORT SLEEVED TOPS OR OPEN SHOES LIKE FLIP FLOPS
