Frequently Asked Questions
  • Do you work with or alongside any concrete pump companies?

Please speak with our sales team who will be able to advise on local businesses in your area via our online chat or contact us.

  • How much time do I have to offload the truck?

You have 1 hour to offload the truck. After that you will be charged at £3 per minute over. Check out our how-to top tips on offloading concrete

  • Will the weather effect my delivery?

We will always do our best to deliver your concrete all in weather conditions. However please be mindful that some products may not be suitable to lay in conditions below 5 degrees and over 30 degrees. It is best you keep an eye on the forecast and speak to a member of our sales or technical team via our online chat or contact us if you are unsure.

  • I require further assistance ?

Should you have any queries relating to our online ordering site please Call Us, or Contact Us via the website. You can also talk to us using the online Live Chat option.

  • What are the health and safety risks of handling concrete?

There is always a risk with regards to health & safety when handling concrete. To ensure the safety of the people involved, no matter the size or location of the job, we strongly recommend you take the time to read our concrete Health & Safety datasheet and the information on our guide to Handling Concrete Safely, including our Health & Safety Video.

  • When the truck mixer arrives on site, what should I expect?

When the truck mixer arrives on your site, the driver will assess the required delivery location, and discuss with you the best and safest method of discharging the concrete into the place you require. If it is not possible to get the truck mixer close enough, and you have notified us at the time of ordering that you may require it, off-loading directly into wheelbarrows* will be possible.

    *(1m3 = 25 to 30 wheelbarrow loads!)

If the truck mixer is required on site for more than 60 minutes, a small additional charge may be applied. It is a legal requirement that the driver washes his chutes before he enters back onto the highway after discharge. This will require a wheelbarrow, waste ground or skip to minimise your mess on site. Every vehicle will have its own wash-off hose and water on board. Please be aware even though we are offering a readymix service, this is still a heavy goods vehicle.
