Our truck drivers once the delivery has been made will ask for a full name and signature on their mobile device as proof of delivery. A 'Newton' is a strength measurement per square millimeter after 28 days of curing (ie; from being laid). The higher the Newton strength the stronger the concrete.
One cubic metre of concrete weighs around 2.4 tonnes. That equates to about 25-30 wheelbarrow loads per 1m3!
Changes can be made to orders if we have enough notice. Making changes on the same day, or close to the time of delivery could cause an issue. It's important that you have all of your concrete mix and quantity information correct at least 24 hour's before delivery. If you feel you are unsure and need help to confirm you have everything correct, please contact our sales team who will be happy to assist you.
If you need to cancel your order please get in contact with us as soon as possible. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice when cancelling a delivery. Cancellations with less then 24 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee. If you have any questions regarding cancellations, please feel free to contact us.
Exposure to wet concrete can result in skin irritation or even first, second- or third-degree chemical burns. It is important to always wear full PPE. If your skin comes into contact with wet concrete wash with water immediately and seek medical advice. Read our H&S guidance for further support.
Always stay aware of your surroundings and others
Wearing the right clothing to handle concrete is highly important and essential for your safety. You may be refused on site without the correct PPE with you. Minimum levels of correct PPE should be worn by everyone involved in the laying of the concrete delivery.
All should be worn to prevent any splashes getting on to the skin, face or eyes.
